Overview

Google Calendar Defaults is a Chrome extension that lets you set default start times, durations, and end-time rules for new Google Calendar events. This extension does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.

What data does the extension access?

The extension reads your Google Calendar event form to detect the proposed start time for a new event, then adjusts the start and end time fields based on your saved preferences. It does not read event titles, descriptions, attendees, or any other calendar content.

What data is stored?

The extension stores three user-configured preferences using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.sync API:

• startOffsetMins — how many minutes after the clicked time slot to start new events (default: 0)
• defaultDurationMins — the default meeting length in minutes (default: 60)
• endTimePreset — the rule used to calculate the meeting end time (default: "duration")

These three values are your own preferences — they contain no personal information about other people. They are synced across your Chrome profile via Google's Chrome Sync infrastructure, which is subject to Google's own privacy policy.

Does the extension transmit any data externally?

No. The extension makes no HTTP requests of its own, connects to no external servers, and contains no analytics, telemetry, or tracking code of any kind.

What websites does the extension run on?

The extension only activates on:

• https://calendar.google.com/*

It does not run on any other website.

Does the extension use cookies or tracking?

No. The extension does not use cookies, fingerprinting, advertising networks, or any form of user tracking.

Who can see my data?

Only you. Your preferences are stored in your own Chrome profile via chrome.storage.sync and are never accessible to the extension developer or any third party.

Children's privacy

This extension is intended for general productivity use. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
